Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects the face and eyes only. It begins after mid ages between 30 and 60 with redness, pimples, and broken blood vessels. It is common in fair-skinned people. The causes of rosacea are unknown.
In addition, approximately 50 percent of those affected by rosacea will have eye involvement. Eyes may tend to redness, burning, tearing, inflamed eyelids and Sensation of a foreign object in the eye
The symptoms of rosacea may resemble other dermatologic conditions, such as acne. Always consult your physician for a diagnosis.
